What we store, why we store it, and what you can ask us to do with it. In plain language, because a statement nobody reads protects nobody.

Who is responsible
Jesta Trading, established in the Netherlands, is the controller for the data described here. You can reach us at hello@ergosy.com.
What we store about users of Ergosy
- Your name, email address, language and time zone, so we can show you the product and sign you in.
- The hours, projects, tasks and notes you enter, because that is the service.
- Technical logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
The Chrome extension
If you use our Chrome extension, it keeps your sign-in token, your chosen workspace and the project you picked for a repository or a meeting on your own computer. What it sends us is what the website sends us: the hours you record.
On a GitHub issue or a Google Meet call it reads the title of that page, and only when you press the button, to fill in the description of the entry. You see that description and can change it before you confirm. The extension reads nothing else from the pages you visit and does not keep track of where you browse.
What we store about visitors to this website
We count visits without cookies. Your IP address and browser are combined with a secret and the date of today into a one-way hash. That hash cannot be traced back to you, changes every night, and is all we keep. If you send us a message, we of course keep what you wrote so we can answer it.
Why we are allowed to
For customer data: because we need it to perform our agreement with you. For website statistics: our legitimate interest in knowing whether our own site works, weighed against a measurement that cannot identify anyone.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider in the European Union, and the service that delivers our email. Nobody else. We do not sell data and we do not use it to train anything.
How long we keep it
Your data for as long as you have an account, and up to sixty days after you close it so you can change your mind. Website statistics for twenty-four months. Messages you send us for as long as the conversation is relevant.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to its use. Mail hello@ergosy.com and we will answer within a month, usually much sooner. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
