Chrome extension

The Ergosy Chrome extension

The shortest distance between doing the work and recording it. Your running timer is one click away, on the browser icon, wherever you are.

What the extension does

Opens instantly

The popup paints your running timer on the first frame from a local snapshot, then checks with the server. No spinner while you wait to see what you are on.

Buttons where you work

A start button inside Google Meet with the meeting name filled in, and on GitHub issues and project boards with the issue as the description.

Restart anything

Your recent entries are in the popup with a play button. Same project, same task, same description, one click.

Down to the task

Search a task inside the project and track straight onto it, so the hours land on the work and not just the client.

What it may and may not do

The extension talks to Ergosy and to nothing else. It stores your sign-in token on your own machine, never in a synced account, and it reads nothing from the pages you visit beyond the title of the meeting or issue you choose to track.

Questions

Frequently asked

Which browsers does the extension work in?
Chrome, and the browsers built on it such as Edge, Brave and Arc.
Does the extension read the pages I visit?
No. It reads the title of a meeting or an issue only at the moment you press the button on that page, and it talks to Ergosy and to nothing else.
Do I have to sign in twice?
Once. You sign in with a code from your email and the extension stays signed in on that machine.
